Monadelphous are seeking an experienced Field Engineer to join our PNG Operations team. Initially you will be based in our Brisbane Head Office Monday to Friday for approximately 3 months, prior to mobilising to site on a 4 weeks on 2 weeks off roster for approximately 7 months.
This high paced position will provide technical expertise across design management, project management, estimating, procurement, contractual correspondence, quality assurance, and internal/external stakeholder management for our work in Papua New Guinea.
Key responsibilities include:
* Work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Manager to ensure project objectives are met on time with respect to cost, safety and quality
* Work closely with client representatives and deliver to meet their requirements
* Manage the interface between the engineering and project delivery teams to maintain compliance with the specifications, schedules and contract
* Manage and supervise the resolution of technical queries as required
* Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to other members of the engineering team
* Compile schedule, cost, progress and forecast reports for the project; ensuring all schedule reporting requirements are met
* Own and manage the change management process
* Provide support to the project team and implement best practice on the project
What you will bring
* 5+ years' experience working in an on-site engineering position for large-scale resources construction/maintenance projects
* Experience building strong, value driven client relationships
* An Australian recognised, tertiary qualification in Structural or Mechanical Engineering
* Proven experience in project management, including design management
* Strong written and technical skills, with an innovative approach to technical problem-solving and continuous improvement
* Experience of managing the contractual correspondence across project delivery
* Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
* A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
* Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport
