Team Overview
The Health Information Team plays a central role in managing the lifecycle of health data across Tasmania's public health system. From data collection and storage to analysis and reporting, the team ensures that accurate, timely, and high-quality information supports both the health of Tasmanians and the performance of health services.
Role
The Database Support Administrator works within the Health Information Team to provide support services regarding information contained on databases managed by the Unit. The role supports the Department of Health in fulfilling its reporting obligations to external bodies, senior management and operational areas, facilitating informed decisions based on sound and robust data collected.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of, and experience in, the use of computerised information systems/databases, including development and production of statistical reports, and proficiency in Word and Excel with the ability to learn other software packages.
* Demonstrated coordination and organisational skills while handling multiple tasks on a day‐to‐day basis, with the ability to exercise initiative, judgement and discretion.
* Well‐developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise with a wide range of internal and external clients and stakeholders.
Details of Appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary
$76,849 to $82,996 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.

Eligibility
Previous experience in a field associated with health analytics is desirable.
