About The Role
The Clinical Director, Community and Acute Services provides clinical leadership to the community mental health teams, inpatient units, the Community Care Unit, Alcohol, and Other Drugs Service, Acute Care Team, Child and Youth Services and other specialist services. As a key member of Mental Health, Addictions, Custodial Health and Specialised Services, this role will work closely with the leadership team to optimise resources, share innovation and to ensure consistent change practices, bringing clinical objectives and medical engagement to strategic programs and projects across the Health Service.

About You
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

* You will have an understanding of the Models of Service Delivery framework and how these models guide Mental Health service delivery.
* Within your scope of practice, you will provide leadership and accountability for the day-to-day activity of the mental health service.
* You will possess well-developed clinical knowledge and skills in mental health care and in the management of contemporary mental health service delivery

Mandatory Requirements

* Registration or eligibility for specialist registration as a psychiatrist with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
