Software Development Engineer, LMDT- DTO
Amazon's global fulfilment network enables merchants to ship items worldwide. Amazon Logistics' delivery stations receive packages from Fulfilment Centers and Sort Centers and sort them for delivery. The Last Mile ecosystem includes WW delivery hubs where packages are received, sorted and prepared for on-road delivery. The Station Tech team in Last Mile builds scalable tools and technology for delivery hubs to increase associate productivity, site throughput, and operational quality and scalability of the delivery network. Our primary customers are delivery station associates, station managers, central operations, and on-road delivery agents. The team builds tools and processes to reduce cognitive load, standardize work, prioritize high-impact tasks, and correct defects to meet customer SLAs.
UTR Tech is an organization within Last Mile supporting all delivery stations in the network. A delivery station receives an input set of packages from upstream and performs required operations to get them ready for on-road delivery. Associates use a mobile application called Dolphin for execution operations. The Induct Stow initiative focuses on improving the sortation process to enable 24/7 continuous operation. The Induct Stow team innovates for customers and strengthens the architectural foundation to enable growth and strategic initiatives for the next-generation Last Mile hubs WW. We develop tools and software used by associates to simplify handling at scale.
