Technology Infrastructure Project Manager
As a Technology Infrastructure Project Manager, you'll lead the delivery of critical technology projects.
Overall Purpose of Role:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology infrastructure projects, including network and compute upgrades, hardware and software deployments, and system integrations.
Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, maintain clear documentation, and conduct thorough post-implementation reviews.
Consult and engage with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements, manage expectations and ensure successful project outcomes.
Develop and manage detailed project schedules to achieve milestones, meet deadlines and deliver agreed outcomes.
Provide clear, timely communication of project status, risks and progress to stakeholders and senior management.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors and key stakeholders to support project success.
Proactively identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to address issues early.
Continuously optimise project processes, tools and ways of working to drive efficiency and improve outcomes.
Ensure all infrastructure projects comply with organisational policies, security standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
Champion continuous improvement in project management practices and share knowledge and learnings across the team.
Experience Required
Project Management qualifications mandatory (Prince2, PMBOK, PMP, AIPM, CPPP...)
Five+ years' experience of Technology Infrastructure Project Management within complex organisations (Tier 1 or 2)
Experience working in Technology infrastructure components: switch, firewalls, servers, virtualisation, facilities (data cabling systems, UPS, racks).
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of motivating high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management tools/software
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and unforeseen challenges.
Experience in managing vendors as part of the project's delivery
