Responsibilities
Delivering high-quality nursing care and implementing tailored care plans for residents.
Monitoring residents' health, administering medications, and performing necessary treatments.
Supervising and supporting nursing and care staff in providing optimal patient care.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a person-centered approach.
Assessing and managing residents' chronic conditions and ensuring timely medical interventions.
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and ensuring compliance with aged care regulations.
Educating residents, families, and caregivers on health management and well-being.
Ensuring infection control protocols, workplace safety, and best clinical practices are adhered to.
Responding to medical emergencies and providing first aid as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing (or equivalent qualification).
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Other Skills and Requirements
Experience in palliative care, dementia care, and rehabilitation nursing.
First Aid and CPR certification.
Understanding of My Aged Care and NDIS frameworks.
Minimum 2 years of work experience in aged care, geriatrics, or clinical nursing.
Knowledge of aged care quality standards, policies, and regulatory compliance.
Competence in medication administration, wound care, and chronic disease management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Basic computer literacy and experience with electronic health records.
