It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. We are looking for just that person to join the Silverchain team in Toowoomba and surrounding suburbs.

What we're looking for
We are looking for people who:
* Enjoy having variety in their day.
* Are passionate about providing an excellent service.
* Can build positive relationships with clients and their families.
* Care about assisting our aged community members to live independently at home for longer.
* Don't sweat the small stuff. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays will you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.
* Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.
In addition, you will need:
* An open class Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
* An interest in community care or aged care (Entry Level position no previous experience required).
The role
* General housekeeping and making beds
* Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
* Washing, folding and ironing laundry
* Meal preparation and grocery shopping
* Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
* Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
Prior to commencement, every preferred candidate must complete a Statutory Declaration, National Police check, Working Rights check and a pre-employment functional assessment.
