A well-established local commercial construction company in Canberra is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor / Procurement Officer with 2-5 years' experience to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected ACT builder delivering a mix of commercial, education, community and mixed-use projects. You'll work closely with an experienced Project Managers, gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle.
The Role
You will play a key role across both cost management and procurement functions, including:
* Preparing BOQs, take-offs and cost plans
* Letting and negotiating subcontract packages
* Managing procurement schedules and subcontractor engagement
* Contract administration and variations assessment
* Cost tracking, forecasting and reporting
* Supporting project teams to ensure budgets and timelines are met

About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has 2-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or Contracts/Procurement role
* Has experience within commercial construction (head contractor or consultancy)
* Holds a relevant degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
* Is commercially minded with strong negotiation skills
* Has strong attention to detail and confidence working with subcontractors
* Is motivated to build a long‐term career within the Canberra market
