**About Questacon**:
Questacon - The National Science and Technology Centre has a vision for a better future for all Australians through engagement with science, technology and innovation. We work with partners and supporters to deliver inspirational learning experiences for young Australians, their teachers, families and communities.
As a member of the evaluation team, you will help monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Questacon's programs and exhibitions to ensure continuous improvement in delivering fun, engaging and educational experiences for audiences.
**The opportunity**:
Your role will be to collaborate with various teams across Questacon to deliver monitoring and evaluation guidance and tools, data collection and analysis, and reporting for a range of programs.

- Demonstrated experience administrating and maintaining data collection and analysis systems including using web-based survey and quantitative data analysis software. Experience with Qualtrics, Microsoft Excel, R, and Microsoft Power BI and/or equivalent software desirable.
- Demonstrated experience communicating data findings in engaging formats.
- Proven ability to achieve results and work effectively, both independently and in a small team.
- High level written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in data analytics, evaluation, behavioural/social science, museum studies, education and/or other relevant fields is desirable.
**What you will do**:
In this role you will:
- Collaborate with teams across Questacon to implement data collection tools and compile and analyse data using survey, analysis and visualisation software.
- Support the delivery of monitoring and evaluation outputs and communicate and disseminate findings in clear and engaging formats.
- Maintain monitoring and evaluation processes and systems.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work within Australian Government guidelines (e.g. Workplace Health and Safety, Code of Conduct).
**Eligibility**:
Prior to commencing, successful applicants will be required to:
- Undergo an Australian Federal Police National Police Check; and
- Obtain or hold a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011.
**Notes**:
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week. A part-time role will be considered with flexible working hours in accordance with the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources Enterprise Agreement.
The position is based in Canberra, ACT.
