The Strategic Category Buyer role plays a pivotal part in Amazon's growth engine, leveraging data insights to identify key selection gaps across multiple categories and onboarding new suppliers. Key Responsibilities
* Stay up-to-date with market trends across various categories to pinpoint relevant products for customers.
* Take ownership of new supplier recruitment from initial outreach to post-launch account management.
* Negotiate at the C-suite level for new supplier onboarding.
* Educate suppliers on Amazon tools and systems.
* Achieve business and financial objectives to drive revenue growth.
* IDentify opportunities to enhance the retail business for suppliers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 4+ years in retail, operations, product management, or business management/consulting with negotiation expertise. Bachelor's degree required. Experience applying KPIs to analyses or delivering accurate financial models and recommendations is preferred.
