**Job Description**:
Reporting into the EGM, Port Kembla, the Head of Operations role initially oversees the seamless transition of the Port Kembla Energy Terminal (PKET) and associated enabling assets to operational readiness and commissioning. Once commissioned, this role will ensure the efficient day-to-day aspects of all Port Kembla energy operations, ensuring on time delivery of efficient, compliant and safe operations, that are aligned with our values.
You will be responsible for relationship building with all relevant regulatory bodies to ensure appropriate levels of compliance and work closely with each Squadron Business Units - Port Kembla Energy Commercial Operations, Projects, Commercial, Renewables, Infrastructure and Services and Port Kembla Energy to deliver optimise returns for the business. It will also be critical that this role will be embedded into the local community with which we are operating.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to
- Developing and implementing an Operational Transition Plan
- Development and implementation of the Operations and Maintenance Framework, and associated management plans, in consultation with Head of Asset Optimisation.
- Recruitment of key Operations & Maintenance staff
- Managing the day-to-day operations of all Port Kembla Energy site operations in accordance with budget
- Prepare and managing annual Operations & Maintenance budget, ensuring efficient performance and strategy to maximise the use of PK operating assets.
- Development of annual delivery plans and management of LNG quality requirements, documentation, and vessel schedules.
- Ensure efficient and effective management and delivery of contract arrangements including operational interface with Jemena, Hoegh and other 3rd parties, to meet the needs of our customers and maximise SQE returns.
- Ensure operational risks are identified, assessed, and managed in a proactive manner.
**Qualifications**:
- Senior level LNG plant or terminal operations management with significant experience
- Proven track record in operating and / or commissioning port, gas, energy, or supply developments
- Extensive experience in management of operating sites, major hazard facilities, and site risk management
- Strong commercial acumen to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. - Strong leadership qualities and demonstrated ability to develop others
- Experience in building and managing strong industry and customer relationships
- Ability to work effectively across multi-functional teams and interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, based in various locations
