We have an exciting career opportunity for a passionate and driven Sustainability Manager to join our growing Stockland Sustainability Team. This role will be responsible for partnering with the business to support delivery of best-in-class environmental workstreams and focus areas that form part of the current 2030 Sustainability Strategy, and our evolving ESG strategy, towards achievement of key targets for the business. The aim is to embed sustainability performance across projects and assets to create value for the business, and support community and stakeholder needs.
**The Opportunity - About the Role**
Working closely with the Group Environmental Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for providing environmental sustainability advice and support to project and asset management teams for the planning and delivery of projects and assets.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide strategic advisory for environmental sustainability outcomes
- Develop project and asset guidance, and minimum performance standards, that deliver a commercial value proposition for environmental sustainability outcomes
- Provide input to management decisions, projects and business plans, consistent with the environmental workstreams
- Coordinate and facilitate strategic programs of work across business units or project teams to ensure greater consistency in business environmental sustainability performance outcomes
- Coach, train and empower management teams and project leaders to deliver on environmental workstream objectives and targets
- Ensure the successful execution of the programs and initiatives aligned to the 2030 sustainability strategy by embedding deliverables into bids and acquisitions, design and development, business planning and delivery, and operational processes
- Create successful collaborative partnerships with Stockland teams including Project and Asset Teams, to develop action plans and other deliverables to integrate environmental workstream objectives with commercial business requirements
- Contribute to the delivery of Green Star / NABERS project initiatives and certification of projects
- Oversee, track and report on environmental sustainability performance across the business
**About You**
- Property industry experience, across master planned communities, land lease communities, or commercial property
- Strong project management skills and track record
- Strong influencing skills with the capacity to achieve outcomes through collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Strong strategic planning and program implementation history
- Strong appreciation of business and customer value drivers
- Demonstrated experience working closely with asset and project-based teams to achieve local / regional environmental outcomes and expanding for portfolio scale and impact
- Experience with and understanding of sustainability rating tools (Green Star/WELL/NatHERs)
- Ability to contribute to environmental data collection, measurement, analysis and reporting
