**YOUR ROLE**
The State Transport Manager VIC/TAS leads the ground transport team, and is accountable for assets, resources and related operational activities which are involved in the delivery and execution of services to customers, against a balanced scorecard including people, safety, financials, systems, and strategy.
Specifically, you will:
- Manage all operational activities, processes and systems within NSW to ensure compliance of CEVA's contractual obligations to its customers and nominated service standards
- Undertake weekly revenue and cost analysis of P&L and business performance reports, initiating actions to increase revenue and/or reduce costs related to ground transport actions
- Coach, develop and enhance the capability of team members across the portfolio, ensuring the highest levels of safety, accuracy, productivity, performance and continuous improvement
- Support distribution opportunities; design, cost and communicate innovative transport solutions for business development proposals, and implementation of solutions
- Lead and be accountable for safety and audit requirements linked to, for example, Driver Risk Management, Quality and SCA activities, etc.
**WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
You should also have:
- Sound commercial and financial acumen, with proven experience managing a sizeable P&L
- Exceptional customer, stakeholder, communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Applied understanding of the regulatory, safety and related frameworks of road and/or rail transport
