Lower Strings (Cello) Music Tutor

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated music educator to inspire and develop students’ musical abilities while promoting a lifelong appreciation of music through high-quality instruction, collaboration and performance opportunities.
Essential Requirements:
* A degree and/or a post graduate qualification in music, performance, or music education, or significant relevant professional experience
* Proven experience teaching lower string instruments to students across a range of ages and skill levels, from junior school beginners through to secondary school students at advanced levels (e.g. Diploma level)
* Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate high impact performing arts curriculum and programs that align with the Australian Curriculum, evidence-based research, educational standards and student learning needs
* Demonstrated ability to lead the ensemble rehearsals and contribute collaboratively to the delivery of the lower strings program
* Strong knowledge of lower string instrument techniques, including elementary to advanced fingering and bowing techniques
* Experienced performer
* Hold, or be willing to obtain, a First Aid Certificate
* Obtain a valid Working with Children Clearance (the “Ochre Card”) and a satisfactory Police Security Check and maintain these clearances for the duration of employment
* Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence
