The Role Reporting to the Branch General Manager, the plant Maintenance Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime of all equipment at the branch.
The role will be based at Hindmarsh.
The key responsibilities are: Ensure that all plant and equipment is running efficiently and safely.
Complete preventative maintenance in line with the schedule and tracked in CMMS.
Minimize machinery downtime to support the achievement of DIFOT at the branch daily.
Allocate work to each team member to ensure jobs are completed safely and timely.
Engage in regular plant assessments to identify efficiency improvement initiatives.
Lead upgrade and installation projects in partnership with regional engineering teams.
Manage financial work aligned to budgetary requirements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
Key Skills and Experience Required Tertiary qualifications or Trade qualified (Mechanical or Electrical) with relevant experience.
5+ years' experience in a similar position.
Successful management of relationships with suppliers and R&D teams.
Experience with safety risk assessments.
Working knowledge of AUS / NZ Standards for compliance.
Working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles.
