About the role
The role delivers high‑quality, student‑centred teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes while contributing to a dynamic research community. It involves leading unit teaching teams, designing innovative and inclusive curricula, and integrating industry and research insights into student learning. The role also conducts impactful research in areas such as AI, business analytics, and responsible digital technologies, and contributes to a culture of educational excellence and strong industry engagement.
Responsibilities
* Lead unit and course teaching teams, working collaboratively across the faculty to develop effective curricula and learning materials, review units and courses, and implement evidence‑based refinements.
* Integrate industry, clinical and research practice into unit and course design to enhance student learning experiences, engagement, success and the relevance of learning resources.
* Lead the development and adoption of innovative, learner‑centric and research‑informed curriculum design across a range of levels and delivery modes, including the creation of inclusive and collaborative learning opportunities.
* Develop and moderate high‑quality assessment tasks and rubrics at unit and course level, providing clear assessment criteria and timely feedback to demonstrate learning outcomes and strengthen student achievement.
* Foster a culture of collaboration and educational excellence by supporting students, mentoring colleagues, building teaching and learning capability, and contributing to pedagogical research and scholarly practice.
Qualifications
* PhD in Business Analytics, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant qualifications and experience.
* Strong expertise in the area of effective use and responsible use of digital technologies, including AI, machine learning, business analytics, with a growing or established research track record with quality publications and/or external research funding.
* Excellent track record of high‑quality teaching in AI, machine learning, business analytics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including experience in innovative curriculum development and in supervising Honours and/or HDR students.
* Capacity to contribute to research leadership, academic administration, and broader community engagement through impactful research.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues.
