Base pay range
A$107,******/yr - A$118,******/yr

The Research Communication Advisor delivers communications to enhance the reputation of UTS by profiling its research with a diverse range of audiences. The role is in the Marketing and Communication Unit, which takes the lead in developing strategies and relationships to strengthen the UTS brand.
In this varied role, you will work on creating content, managing projects, running channels and supporting processes with a primary focus on building engagement with stories of UTS's research. The key audiences for these communications include academics, industry, PhD students, funding agencies, community and media.
You will write stories and create a wide range of content ranging from news stories and features through to speeches and social copy. You will deliver strategic communication projects and campaigns that improve engagement with target audiences. You will manage web, email and other communication channels and measure outcomes. You will support communications team processes. You will also work closely with senior stakeholders, internal partners and external suppliers to ensure successful delivery.
Selection Criteria
Very good written communication skills in a variety of formats and technologies, from social media to websites and traditional article writing
Experience with effective communication strategies and approaches including digital, social and traditional platforms, tools and channels
Professional liaison, negotiation and diplomacy skills – ability to liaise with senior academic and professional staff
Degree in communication, marketing or related area and /or relevant experience
Base Salary Range: $107,402 - $118,813 pa (HEW 7)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension)
in addition
to the base salary.

This position is
full-time
and appointment will be made on a
fixed term basis for 12 months
