Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a part-time Primary Teacher for Grade 2. This role requires the ability to deliver instruction on Washington State and Common Core English-Language Arts and Mathematics standards, as well as age-appropriate Archdiocesan Religion standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching the Catholic faith and providing an equitable and inclusive education to students from diverse cultural backgrounds. They will be comfortable using educational technology in instruction and able to differentiate their approach to meet the needs of all learners.
This teacher will work collaboratively with the intermediate team, school staff, and broader community to ensure that our mission is fulfilled, fostering faith-filled students, lifelong learners, and good citizens.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Catholic Faith Commitment: A strong commitment to teaching the Catholic faith and its values.
* Diverse Cultural Backgrounds: Experience working with students from various cultural backgrounds with diverse academic needs.
* Elementary Education Degree: A Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or equivalent background.
* Washington State Certification: Washington State teacher certification or equivalent.
* Standard Knowledge: Knowledgeable of Washington State and Common Core standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics.
