About the Role
As a Program Director, you will lead the development phase of a significant highway safety initiative, overseeing a team of professionals to ensure program activities align with industry best-practice and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a high-performing team to develop the highway safety program in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Manage stakeholder engagement with government agencies, indigenous communities, and provide expert advice to senior management on all aspects of the program.
* Identify and leverage expertise to deliver program objectives by creating a collaborative team environment.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency of delivery and technical practices.
* Investigate, manage, and resolve complex engineering and contractual issues associated with the program.
* Lead and manage the delivery of various construction contract options through the procurement and delivery phases.
* Monitor and report on program progress through the preparation and delivery of strategic submissions and reports.
Program Overview
The Australian and Queensland governments have jointly committed a significant investment for the Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program, aiming to reduce crash severity and frequency. The program involves implementing measures such as wide centre line treatments, audio tactile line marking, intersection upgrades, rest areas, pavement strengthening, overtaking lanes, and upgrades to narrow structures.
