Job Overview
AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, addressing advanced concepts and feature designs. They work with customers to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures, guiding refactoring or designing new cloud-based systems. SSAs also capture customer feedback, advocate for roadmap enhancements, and produce content such as blogs and workshops for customers, partners, and AWS Technical Field.
Specifically, GenAI & ML SSAs combine technical skills in GenAI & ML with business acumen and technical sales skills. They support customers throughout the engagement lifecycle, working closely with implementation teams like AWS Professional Services and Partners. The role involves unblocking customers and expediting their journey to production.
Key Responsibilities
* Design best-in-class GenAI & ML solutions for all stages of customer and product lifecycles.
* Partner with SAs, Sales, Business Development, and Service teams to accelerate customer adoption and revenue.
* Share thought leadership through forums such as blogs, reference architectures, and events like AWS Summit and re:Invent.
* Act as a technical liaison to provide customer-driven product feedback.
* Develop and support an internal AWS community of subject matter experts.
About the Team
This role is part of the Data and AI specialist team for Australia and New Zealand, based in Sydney or Melbourne. You will work with customers across various industries, from large enterprises to startups, throughout their cloud journey.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
* 8+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, or data & analytics.
* 3+ years in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructure.
* 10+ years in IT development or consulting in software or internet industries.
* Deep knowledge of GenAI & ML services (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q) and their architecture needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong technical communication skills, bridging business outcomes and technical requirements.
* Familiarity with GenAI & ML applications in modern data solutions.
* Cloud certifications, especially related to GenAI & ML, are highly preferred.
