Job Title: Strength Coach — Hobart Strength Training
Employment Type: Contractor / Casual / Part-time / Full-time (flexible — your choice)
About Us
Hobart Strength Training is a community-first gym built around a clear coaching philosophy and a team that genuinely cares about helping people get stronger. We're not a rent-a-rack situation — you'll be part of something with structure, direction, and real support behind it. We're growing, and we're looking for a coach to grow with us.
The Role
This role is whatever shape works for you — contractor, casual, part-time, or full-time. Hours are flexible and designed to fit around your existing schedule. Whether you're a coach looking to make this your main gig or someone building toward that, we're open to conversation.
* Deliver coaching sessions using the HST methodology
* Work with a supportive, close-knit team in a well-equipped facility
* No rent or facility fees — you're part of the team, not a tenant
* No pressure to bring your own clients, though incentive structures can be negotiated if you do
What We're Looking For
* Certificate III and IV in Fitness (or equivalent)
* Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance
* Someone coachable — willing to learn and apply the HST methodology
* No extensive experience necessary; attitude and fit matter more to us
* Your own coaching background and ideas are genuinely welcome — we just ask that you're willing to work within our framework
How We Get You Started
No trial by fire. New coaches at HST go through a paid shadowing period — an informal apprenticeship where you learn our methodology from the inside before coaching independently. You get paid while you get up to speed.
How to Apply
Let's start with a coffee. No formal interview process — just reach out and we'll set up an informal chat to see if we're a good fit for each other. No pressure, no paperwork, just a conversation.
