Where you’ll be working
The Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) is the primary entity for clinical governance and safety assurance across NSW Health. We lead and monitor health system safety by embedding and maturing NSW Health safety system model and strategically partnering with health entities and consumers to foster safe care. The CEC has a system wide leadership role in safety and improvement, with a focus on learning. It provides independent guidance and advice on clinical safety, and responds rapidly when system-wide issues arise.
About the Opportunity
The Executive Assistant to the Director, Safety Intelligence and Data provides high-level executive support to ensure the efficient operation of the Safety Intelligence and Data Business Unit. This role also extends support to the Executive Director, Patient Safety and Clinical Governance, and associated business units as required.
In addition to core responsibilities, the Executive Assistant contributes to broader organisational needs by supporting other Directors, Executive Assistants, and business units across the CEC when required. This includes delivering responsive and flexible administrative assistance aligned with the strategic and operational priorities of the CEC.

Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated experience in providing high-level administrative support across multiple business units, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Proven ability to manage correspondence and communications on behalf of senior executives, including the capacity to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgement in prioritising, directing, and responding to requests for information.
* Strong skills in preparing and coordinating administrative applications such as financial requisitions, travel, and accommodation, with a thorough understanding of policy compliance and approval processes.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to respond effectively to telephone and Microsoft Teams enquiries, including complaint handling and follow-up actions.
* Experience in supporting committee operations, including agenda preparation, confidential minute-taking, and coordination of post-meeting actions.
* Capacity to contribute to the development and continuous improvement of administrative systems and procedures, and to support and train staff in their implementation.
* Ability to provide flexible administrative support across the organisation, including executive-level assistance, to meet evolving business needs.
* Demonstrated commitment to professional conduct and organisational values, with the ability to model accountability, integrity, and respectful collaboration in all interactions.
