HEAVY VEHICLE MECHANICS / FITTERS - BDS MECHANICAL
We are currently recruiting experienced Diesel Mechanics and Fitters for full-time, permanent positions with our Sunshine Coast team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected, well-established, and stable organisation that provides long-term career growth, development, and security.
BDS Mechanical Repairs Aus is a rapidly expanding, progressive company providing complete mechanical, auto-electrical, and welding solutions both on-site and from our fully equipped workshop facilities. Servicing Queensland and Western Australia, our extensive network includes 22 branches and more than 160 mobile service units, delivering dependable support across more than 600,000 km². The successful candidates will possess the following:
* Relevant trade qualification
* Diagnostic experience
* Strong fault-finding skills
* Experience with trucks and trailers
* Heavy earthmoving experience (advantageous)
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Truck licence (preferred)
* Additional skills, experience, tickets, and licences will be highly regarded
Your duties will include:
* Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
* General Repairs/maintenance works – Trucks & Trailers/4×4's
* Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
* Checking vehicle lighting systems
* Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
* Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
* Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
