About The Opportunity Join the team in Gin Gin that p lays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the beauty, safety, and functionality of our community's outdoor spaces.
This hands-on position, includes; labouring, gardening, cleaning, maintenance and repair, maintaining and pruning vegetation, grass and turf management, herbicide application, playscape maintenance, traffic control and signage set-out in our parks, gardens, open spaces, cemeteries, reserves, beaches, foreshores, and streetscapes.
You'll contribute to creating welcoming and well-maintained environments that the community can enjoy, working as part of a team committed to delivering high-quality services that showcase and protect our region's natural and built assets.
About You Appropriate licences, certificates and qualifications; a Certificate ll or higher in a Horticultural related field, a Chainsaw Ticket and Herbicide Operator Ticket (AC/DC) is desirable.
Possession of a current Construction Industry General Safety Induction.
High level of experience in Parks Environment, Landscape and or Horticultural activities.
Demonstrated high level of experience in the operation and basic maintenance of relevant item/s of plant.
Hold and continue to hold a Class 'C' Drivers Licence is essential.
Other classes of licence may be required for operation of some vehicles and plant and possession; 'MR' Drivers Licence would be an advantage.
A sound knowledge of/or the ability to acquire sound knowledge of Part 3 of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
Demonstrated high level communication skills including written and verbal.
Proficient in using software programs and utilising tablets to activate and complete jobs, complete safety JSA's, access emails and complete online timesheets.
