Position Purpose
The Area Manager – Gosford is responsible for leading support services and operational performance across the region. This includes managing direct and flexible supports aligned with:
* Participant goals and NDIS plans
* NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct
* The vision, mission, and values of Tender Loving Care Disability
This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centred, safe, and responsive services for people with disability.
Key Responsibilities
1. NDIS Compliance and Quality
* Ensure service delivery is compliant with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
* Oversee internal audits, practice reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Report incidents, manage risk, and ensure participant rights and choice are respected.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant records and documentation.
2. Leadership and Workforce Development
* Supervise, support, and develop Community Support Workers and Direct Supports Coordinator.
* Conduct regular supervision, performance reviews, and training.
* Ensure onboarding, induction, and ongoing development meets NDIS expectations.
* Promote a workplace culture that aligns with Tender Loving Care Disability's values.
3. Participant-Centred Service Delivery
* Oversee development and review of individualised support plans.
* Promote participant choice, dignity of risk, and supported decision-making.
* Monitor service delivery to ensure it meets participant goals and funded supports.
* Lead service improvements based on feedback and participant outcomes.
4. Operational and Financial Management
* Develop and manage program budgets aligned with NDIS price guides and funding.
* Implement efficient staffing and resource planning based on service needs.
* Ensure compliance with Service Agreements and schedule of supports.
* Submit accurate monthly operational and financial reports to the CEO.
5. Community and Stakeholder Engagement
* Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, Local Area Coordinators, support coordinators, and community partners.
* Represent Tender Loving Care Disability in community and sector forums.
* Facilitate opportunities for participants to connect with and contribute to their communities.
6. Risk, Incident, and WHS Management
* Promote a safe workplace culture and support the wellbeing of staff and participants.
* Ensure all incidents, hazards, and complaints are managed and reported in line with NDIS and WHS guidelines.
* Liaise with the WHS and Return to Work Manager on workplace injury and recovery processes.
* Identify and mitigate risks in service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Minimum 2 years’ leadership or management experience in the disability or community sector
* Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct
* Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
* High-level written and verbal communication, including reporting and stakeholder engagement
* Strong administrative and digital literacy skills
* Current Australian Driver’s Licence
* Valid First Aid Certificate
* NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and National Police Clearance
Desirable
* Tertiary qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or related fields
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services Management
* Training in Positive Behaviour Support, trauma-informed practice, or similar
