About the Opportunity
The Treasurer is responsible for ensuring the Board is empowered to govern the financial affairs of the organisation. The role of Treasurer chairs the CRCS Board Finance Sub-committee.
This is a key role within the CRCS Board, which provides high level expertise and support to the Board in the achievement of the organisations vision, purpose and strategic goals. This role will work closely with the Board, CEO, Executive Manager Business and Infrastructure to achieve the strategic and financial goals of CRCS.
This role will require an individual to have degree level qualifications in finance/accounting and hold current CPA/CA membership. The individual will require high level knowledge of the financial management requirements for a Company Limited by Guarantee, Aged Care Services, Education and Care Services and government funded programs.
The Board meets monthly, with some additional engagements as needed throughout the year. On average, we estimate a time commitment of approximately 4–5 hours per month.
Ideal candidate (Selection Criteria)
Degree level qualifications in accounting or related discipline.
CPA or CA qualifications and associated membership of the relevant professional body.
Executive leadership experience in a Chief Financial Officer position or similar.
Demonstrated experience and ability to provide strong leadership to manage the strategic financial operations of a similar size organisation.
In-depth knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, variance reporting, and risk management.
