As part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, the GP will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of health conditions across all age groups, with an emphasis on continuity of care and preventative health.________________________________________Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive general medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.Promote preventative health strategies, screening, immunisations, and health education tailored to patient needs.Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, history-taking, and ordering and interpreting relevant investigations.Collaborate with allied health professionals, nursing staff, specialists, and external providers to ensure holistic patient care.Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records in accordance with RACGP and AHPRA standards.Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development.Provide support for the education of medical students, registrars, or interns, if applicable.Uphold a commitment to culturally safe and inclusive care, especially in serving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and communities.________________________________________Selection Criteria:Essential:Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner (FRACGP or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience in general practice, with strong diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills.Current CPR certification and professional indemnity insurance.Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-first approach.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and continuous professional development.Desirable:Experience working in rural or regional communities.Interest or additional training in a specialised area (e.g., skin, women's health, chronic disease management).
