About the role Based in South East Suburbs (with locations in inner South East minimum of 5 years of post-admission family law experience to join their close-knit team. In this role you will enjoy a real sense of satisfaction & achievement assisting clients requiring advice on all aspects of family law. Here you will appreciate a good level of autonomy whilst having the support of other professionals within this collaborative style culture. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following: high level interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; a passion for problem solving and ‘big-picture’ thinking; a strong interest in furthering their career in family law; the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues; a strong interest in continuous professional development and upskilling; excellent organisational and communication skills; experience with proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, Court appearances and instructing Counsel; broad experience in complex parenting and financial/property matters, maintenance applications, divorce and Intervention Orders; precise legal drafting; a commercial and resolution focused mindset; a willingness and passion for mentoring less experienced practitioners; competence with cloud-based practice management software. E.g. Smokeball, or similar software; attention to detail and management of deadlines; and an interest in networking with allied professionals. Candidates with post-graduate qualifications in the following will be highly regarded: LIV Specialist Accreditation in Family Law; Master of Laws (Family Law).
