What We Need From You
- 3+ years' experience as a NOC Engineer or Telecom Network Engineer
- Strong knowledge of fibre optics, WAN point-to-point services & OSI Layers 1 and 2
- Experience coordinating vendors, managing incidents, and tracking delivery timelines
- Data centre exposure (router ports, patch panels, DWDM, transport equipment)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, operational environment

The Role
Due to continued growth and increased network demand, an exciting opportunity now exists for a NOC Engineer to support fibre-based WAN services, manage vendor performance, coordinate testing activities, and ensure accurate service records - all within a remote-first, permanent role.
Key Responsibilities / Typical Day
- Monitor and support fibre-based WAN services at OSI Layers 1 and 2
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve incidents and delivery issues
- Lead service kickoffs, maintenance coordination, and status updates
- Validate vendor test results and service acceptance documentation
- Coordinate patching requests and end-to-end testing schedules
- Maintain accurate records for install dates, acceptance status, and circuit IDs
Salary
$120,000 - $145,000 + Superannuation (depending on experience)
