Key Responsibilities
The Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and engineering operations of a hotel.
This includes managing the maintenance team, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that all hotel operations are efficient and compliant.
* Lead daily maintenance operations and oversee maintenance engineers.
* Communicate effectively with housekeeping to prioritize tasks and activities.
* Develop systems for health and safety and energy conservation.
* Comply with relevant legislation and regulations.
* Prepare budgets and forecasts for maintenance and repairs.
* Perform regular checks and emergency procedures.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment.
* Ensure excellent customer service and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
* Maintain hotel fixtures and fittings to a high standard.
Requirements
* Advanced knowledge of building management and engineering principles.
* Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in budgeting and accounting.
* Strong commitment to customer service.
* Leadership skills and experience managing a team.
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
