**Role & Responsibilities**:
As the General Manager of Business Development, you will be at the forefront of the growth strategy. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- ** Strategic Vision**: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the business's goals and market trends.
- ** Partnerships and Alliances**: Identify and establish strategic partnerships, collaborations, and alliances that enhance our market presence and contribute to revenue growth.
- ** Market Analysis**: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscapes, guiding the development of tailored solutions.
- ** Client Engagement**: Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, understanding their unique requirements and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- ** Team Leadership**: Hands on leading from the front in building, mentoring a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- ** Financial Acumen**: Monitor key performance indicators, financial metrics, and business trends to drive informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
- ** Negotiations**: Lead negotiations, contract discussions, and deal closures with potential partners and clients to secure favourable agreements.
**Key skills & experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred but not essential)
- Proven track record in business development or related strategic customer engagement roles, in a hands-on leadership capacity.
- Highly engaging leader who can flip between tactical and strategic initiatives with ease.
- Clear track record of business growth across multiple industries/markets
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to turn market insights into actionable plans.
- Proficiency in data analysis and using insights to drive decision-making.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and growth.
