Role Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Systems Engineering to join our dynamic CSI-IPT team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the cutting-edge DDG (Destroyer) program, working on critical national defence projects. Our comprehensive program will provide a robust foundation in Systems Engineering through diverse teams, fostering growth into a skilled and capable engineer. You will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of complex engineering solutions for the DDG program. Core Duties: * Contributing to engineering activities as directed by their team leader in accordance with the relevant project procedures and work instructions to achieve project technical, schedule and cost goals * Assisting in the development, analysis, and refinement of system requirements * Supporting the design, integration, and testing of complex combat systems * Participating in technical reviews, workshops, and stakeholder engagements * Documenting engineering processes, designs, and test results * Collaborating with various engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and functionality * Identifying and escalating potential technical risks and issues * Adhering to all safety, security, and quality standards and procedures Essential Skills: * A University degree level engineering qualification preferably within a Systems, Electronics, Software or Mechatronics discipline * Demonstrated systems engineering experience coupled with engineering experience in a relevant discipline * INCOSE CSEP certified (desired) * Experience in effective use of Engineering Process, Methods, Tools and Infrastructure * Proven ability to function confidently within a project team environment with demonstrated problem solving skills * Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment or autonomously * Ability to partner with and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to obtain the necessary deliverables * Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain * Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations Why BAE Systems?
