Finance Business Partner
The government seeks a finance business partner to join the financial advisory services team.
This role involves partnering with schools to strengthen their financial management practices and support effective resource allocation that contributes to improved educational outcomes for students.
* Support the development and delivery of financial management training material to support schools.
* Assist with the development and communication of school accounting policies and procedures.
The position is based in North Lakes or Nundah, providing advice and support to school staff regarding financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake analysis of the financial management practices and financial performance of schools.
* Provide financial management advice to school-based staff.
* Monitor the level of financial management competencies within schools.
* Provide appropriate training and development programs to enhance financial management skills.
* Work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements:
* Sound knowledge of contemporary financial management issues and strategies impacting schools.
* Ability to interrogate and analyse school financial management systems - Agresso and OneSchool Finance.
* Ability to deliver training programs relating to school financial management, including in an online format.
* High-level communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to influence customer behaviour and implement change.
* Demonstrated leadership and management skills appropriate to achieving outcomes within negotiated timeframes.
As a finance business partner, you will play a key role in supporting the financial management needs of schools. You will work closely with school staff to develop and deliver financial management training and provide advice on accounting policies and procedures.
