Horticulturist Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Horticulturist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the City's winter tree planting program.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the implementation of the City's winter tree planting program for parks, reserves and streetscapes.
* Making informed technical and operational decisions.
* Providing support, leadership and advice to staff members and apprentices as required.
* Safely operating a variety of horticultural equipment.
* Working to daily maintenance schedules.
Requirements
* Certificate III in Horticulture or relevant experience in a Parks maintenance environment.
* Current 'LR' class driver's licence.
* Construction Induction Training (White Card).
* Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of workplace safety and health regulations.
* Relevant practical experience in landscape/amenity horticulture industry.

* A weekly wage of $1,424 (gross), incorporating all allowances and penalty rates.
* 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%.
