Fabrication workshop assistant

About us:

BreatheSafe are a proud Australian company that strives to develop, manufacture and sell world leading dust control and air quality solutions to any industry that is exposed to dust or airborne contaminant, both locally and internationally. We're growing fast and are now looking for a reliable and hands-on Fabrication Workshop Assistant to join our team in Carole Park.

About the Role:

This is a permanent full-time, hands-on role within our Manufacturing team in Brisbane. You'll support daily operations, handle materials and stock, operate forklifts and help keep the workshop running smoothly. You'll play an important role in maintaining safety, quality and efficiency across the team.

What You'll Do:

* Follow all safety and environmental procedures.
* Operate forklifts and other equipment – a current forklift licence is required.
* Inspect metal components and kits for quality and accuracy before dispatch.
* Conduct timely and safe deliveries to our Assembly facility and local sites.
* Keep the workshop and warehouse clean, tidy and well organised.
* Unload containers and assist with physical tasks (up to 20kg).
* Manage stock levels and assist with stocktakes.

Hours of Work:

* Monday to Thursday: 5.30am – 2.45pm
* Friday: 5.30am – 11.30am
* Enjoy every second Friday off for a long weekend
* Flexibility Required: Standard hours apply; however, shifts may occasionally adjust to meet business needs, including stocktake periods.

What We're Looking For:

* Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment (highly regarded).
* Basic understanding of quality control and metal fabrication.
* Current forklift and driver's licences.
* Comfortable using inventory systems like Cin7 or NetSuite (or willing to learn).
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg.
* A proactive team player who takes pride in getting things right.
