Electro-Mechanical Engineer Job Summary
The Electro Mechanical Engineer is responsible for demonstrating a working knowledge in the development and execution of unique measurements, repairs, and calibrations of various equipment across different disciplines. The successful candidate must be able to detect and resolve difficult problems.
* Services, repairs and calibrates test and measuring equipment that fails to respond to normal diagnostic and corrective practices under supervision or independently.
* Familiarizes with developed diagnostic techniques and adapts equipment to accomplish necessary repairs and measurements.
* Adapts measuring equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurements beyond their routine uses.
* Documents procedures, methods, and systems for performing measurements.
* The ideal candidate must also be able to satisfy physical demands such as ability to work on elevated structures at heights of ~100 feet, climb stairs (~300 stairs/day), lift and carry ~45lbs, and work in narrow and confined spaces.
* Assists equipment users in devising methods and procedures for obtaining measurements and may be required to operate the equipment/systems for unique or difficult measurements.
* Participates in on-the-job training and related formal education.
* Operates computer software for instrument following established formats and programs.
* Product Service troubleshooting which includes troubleshooting down to the component level.
