About the role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, you will be employed as a Wellbeing Nurse Coordinator to facilitate identification of health, wellbeing and social needs and coordination of appropriate early intervention, assessments, and referral to services for school-aged children and young people.
The Wellbeing Nurse Coordinator applies their specialist clinical nursing knowledge, experience and skill in providing complex health care coordination for school aged children, young people and their families in identified schools.
A key part of the Wellbeing Nurse Coordinator role will be working with a significant level of autonomy in a school environment and facilitating access and coordination of services across multiple agencies, professions and groups.
This role supports all Orange local schools and is based at Orange High School.
The Wellbeing Nurse Coordinator will be working closely with school wellbeing teams, school principals, school staff, GPs, health and mental health services, child and family, youth and other specialist services, NGOs and local government services to identify health, wellbeing and social needs and coordinate appropriate intervention, assessment and referral to services for school-aged children, young people and their families.
