Role
Position: Rostering and Planning Support Advisor within the Quintiq National Coordination Team (NCT) at Band 5 level. The NCT sits within the Business Services branch, as part of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Command. Quintiq is the AFP's time recording, rostering and planning software used for time recording and rostering with supervisors and planners working together to achieve operational outcomes. The Quintiq NCT is responsible for:
* Supporting rostering and planning for AFP staff (sworn and unsworn) located around the country.
* Developing and maintaining governance and standards for best rostering and time recording practices across the AFP.
* Providing a service and support capability for staff using Quintiq.
* Maintaining ongoing training and development in Quintiq usage.
What will you do?
The work is varied and rewarding, requiring discretion, tact and diplomacy when handling sensitive information. Key responsibilities include:
* Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to Band 4 team members to achieve operational goals.
* Monitor workload distribution and address bottlenecks and workflow issues.
* Support Band 4 team members conducting compliance checks to ensure adherence to the AFP Governance Framework.
* Assist with the administration and management of the Quintiq Community of Practice.
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
* Monitor and respond to complex queries with timely documentation.
* Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Act as a point of escalation for complex issues and ensure prompt resolution.
* Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures relevant to the role.
* Participate in training programs, workshops, and initiatives to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
* Undertake other duties as required, consistent with Band 5 work level standards.
Essential Requirements
* Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or ability to obtain one.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Highly developed organisational and time management abilities to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities.
* Ability to work independently and achieve outcomes in a busy environment.
* Ability to contribute proactively within a team.
Desirable Requirements
* Experience using Quintiq Rostering system (or equivalent).
* Experience in Human Resources or Industrial Relations.
* Leadership or coaching experience.
