Role: Accommodation and Hospitality Manager
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Supervise and coordinate front office, reservations, housekeeping, and guest service activities to maintain smooth lodge operations.
- Plan and manage guest services, including special functions and local activity arrangements, to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain service quality standards across all guest touchpoints, ensuring a consistently high level of presentation and care.
- Ensure full compliance with hospitality, health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management to build a skilled and customer-focused team.
- Develop and implement operational procedures that support efficiency, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Manage budgets, maintain records of occupancy and financial performance, and prepare reports for management.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure cost-effective procurement and smooth delivery of services.
- Address guest feedback and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Promote the lodge through positive community engagement and support of local tourism initiatives.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 3 years of proven experience in accommodation or hospitality management.
- A relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in hospitality, management, or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of guest services, housekeeping standards, and hospitality compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, staff rosters, and operational procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with a focus on team development.
