Technical Support Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team on a Casual - 3 day week on average - basis.
The ideal candidate will have previous administrative and/or finance experience, as well as intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
This role involves working closely with staff from all departments as required, interacting with individuals from outside the organization such as contractors and suppliers, and pro-actively monitoring and reporting on areas for improvement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing department purchase orders, dispatching maintenance requests, communicating with resort departments, maintaining stationery supplies, filing documentation efficiently, and undertaking End of Month reporting procedures.
In addition, this role will involve undertaking project work under the instruction of the Chief Engineer and providing high-level administrative support to the Engineering Team.
To be considered for this role, you must possess excellent organization and communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
* Reports to the Chief Engineer or delegate.
* Works closely with the entire Engineering Department.
* Communicates, coordinates and cooperates closely with staff from all other departments as required.
* Interacts with individuals from outside the organization such as contractors and suppliers.
* Prepare department purchase orders ensuring accuracy of description of purchase and general ledger codes.
* Dispatch maintenance requests to appropriate engineering staff and follow up on any outstanding requests.
* Communicate with resort departments in the completion of works or arrival of materials or goods.
* Ensure the stationery supplies within the department are maintained.
* Ensure all documentation is filed appropriately and efficiently.
* Undertake End of Month reporting procedures for and on behalf of the Chief Engineer.
* Pro-actively monitor and report on any areas where improvements are noticed / required.
* Undertake project work under the instruction of the Chief Engineer.
Requirements:
* Previous administrative and/or finance experience is essential.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook is necessary.
* A high level of organization and communication skills, both oral and written, is required.
