Director Marketing Opportunity
A global asset management firm is seeking a Director of Marketing for Australia and New Zealand, specialising in financial intermediaries.

You will be at the forefront of developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that support business growth through distributors, banks, and advisers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement an annual marketing strategy tailored to reach financial intermediary clients and prospects across Australia and New Zealand.
* Partner with sales leaders and marketing peers globally to define business opportunities and create solutions that drive growth in the ANZ financial intermediaries sector.
* Collaborate with research, sales, and product teams to generate audience insights that inform campaign development and support business objectives.
* Plan, manage, and deliver fully integrated marketing campaigns using both offline and online media channels suited to the local market context.
* Enhance brand reputation and positioning within Australia and New Zealand by overseeing consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
* Represent marketing on the Australian Leadership Team, contributing to overall business leadership while advocating for marketing priorities.
* Build strong relationships with internal departments, key clients, external agencies, and local distributors to foster joint initiatives and increase third-party promotional activity.
* Act as a bridge between local sales teams and central marketing functions, ensuring alignment of perspectives and managing expectations effectively.
* Oversee prioritisation, tailoring, and implementation of global campaigns for the ANZ market including brand, product, and thematic initiatives.
* Ensure all marketing activities comply with local regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of quality across materials, campaigns, programmes, and brand representation.
Requirements:
* More than 15 years' experience in asset management marketing within Australia or New Zealand is required for this position.
* Deep understanding of the financial intermediaries landscape—including distributors, end-investors, market opportunities, competitor intelligence, regulatory issues—as well as private banking and retail banking channels is strongly preferred.
* Proven expertise across all aspects of the marketing mix: strategic planning; public relations; event management; advertising (digital/out-of-home/print); digital marketing (social media/email/web); content creation; analytics; modern personalised digital campaigns; lead generation.
* Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution—willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed is essential.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills are necessary for building consensus among diverse groups including sales teams, agency partners, clients, regulators, and internal colleagues.
* Outstanding project management abilities are required to oversee multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
* Entrepreneurial mindset combined with creativity—able to suggest new ideas that drive engagement without losing sight of commercial objectives or compliance needs.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for articulating complex concepts clearly to varied audiences both locally and globally.
