Key job responsibilities
- Review and understand the transportation process from Fulfillment Centres to delivery stations.
- Measure and ensure sufficient bandwidth in the sortation team to support peak‐time delivery management.
- Assist Area Managers in reviewing performance appraisals of station supervisors and learn how to mentor them for efficient operations.
- Continuously improve throughput and sustain delivery performance gains.
- Analyze data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Research and review formal process‐control and process‐improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen.

About the team
As an Area Manager Intern, you are part of something bigger and amazing. This isn't a corporate role; you will be based at one of our Fulfillment Centres, working with other Area Managers, support staff, and learning everything you need to know about Amazon Operations. You will receive a mentor who will support you and guide your work, along with a strong intern support network.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently in your penultimate year of study in any discipline, undergraduate or postgraduate, graduating in 2026.
- Motivated to learn about process improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work in ambiguous situations and develop solutions as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Some work experience – through placement years, internships, or university project work.
