**The role**:
As a leader in the business, this position is responsible for providing strategic leadership on risk management. It is a critical role for managing our governance approach, insurance portfolio, quality systems, assurance and resilience processes.
In addition to working on exciting projects, you will be responsible for,
- Leading the integration of risk management frameworks
- Management of business continuity and emergency management plans
- Ensure a quality systems management approach is embedded int all BAU and project activities
- Implement and manage an effective and efficient internal audit and assurance function that achieves appropriate audit coverage across the organisation
- Ensure adequate insurance arrangements are in place
- Ensure a quality systems management approach is embedded into all business as usual and project activities
- Provide sound reporting and recommendations to inform decisions at the executive, committee and the board.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and South East Water's policies and procedures
- Provide advice and guidance in accordance with relevant legislative and internal policy requirements
- Provide strategic leadership, guidance and continuous improvement on areas related to risk management, compliance, quality systems, assurance and continuity management
**Who are you?**:
- Extensive experience in a similar position
- Proven leadership skills with demonstrated ability to develop and motivate a team
- Working knowledge of risk management, resilience activities, compliance management
- Ideally have technical knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, HACCP, AS4801, ISO19600, ISO 31000, ISO 27001 and other relevant management systems with implementation and audit experience
- Practical understanding of insurance and internal audit
- Proven ability to achieve results by working with others and developing strong internal and external working relationships.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills (written and verbal) to confidently present to internal and external stakeholders
- Level 2 incident controller qualified (preferred)
