Health and Physical Education Teacher
Part time (0.6 to 1.0 FTE) | Fixed term starting the beginning Term 3 and concluding the 15 August 2025
About the role
The Hutchins School is seeking a passionate and dynamic Health and Physical Education Teacher to join our team on a fixed term basis for four weeks commencing at the start of Term 3. The position offers flexibility between 0.6 and 1.0 FTE and involves teaching Health and Physical Education, as well as providing relief teaching in the Middle and Senior Years.
Desired Skills and Experience
We are looking for an educator who:
- have demonstrated an ability to work responsibility for the effective pastoral care of students;
- work both independently and co-operatively with other staff members;
- are familiar with relevant curriculum documentation, e.g. ACARA, Office of the Tasmanian Assessment Standards and Certification (TASC) and the Schools Registration Board of Tasmania (SRB);
- has well-developed organisational and decision-making skills;
- is a qualified teacher, registered to teach or be eligible to teach, within the State of Tasmania.
- Has experience teaching across Years 7–12
