As a Transport Scheduler Optimiser, you will be responsible for managing transport service demands across customer sites. This includes receiving transport orders, optimising routes and loads using a TMS system, allocating to carriers, managing execution, and ensuring timely proof of delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full transport cycle from order receipt to delivery confirmation
* Optimise loads, routes, and capacity using internal TMS systems (including OPSI PLATO)
* Allocate orders to compliant carriers and ensure adherence to operational procedures
* Monitor and manage exceptions to minimise service risks and delivery delays
* Maintain accurate master data and ensure all records are current within the system
* Liaise with both carrier and customer operational teams to ensure seamless execution
* Conduct safety and compliance checks in line with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) standards
The successful candidate will possess sound judgment and analytical thinking when making operational decisions, as well as an understanding of Australian road transport regulations and compliance practices.
