About this Role
We are seeking a permanent full-time People & Culture Advisor to join our friendly team. Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Business Partner, this role will suit a HR generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to develop in the people advisory space.
Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, on a range of employee matters.
Interpret and provide general advice in relation to the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards (SCHADS, Nurses Award) and employment contracts.
Facilitate training on HR related topics when necessary.
Generate employment contracts and variations of employment including transitions from casual to permanency.
Undertake regular compliance checks (managing expiries) including police checks, visas, drivers’ licences.
Assist with visa sponsorships when required.
Assist with organisation charts and workforce planning.
Educate and coach leaders in relation to Fair Work Act, Modern Awards etc.
To be Successful in the Role You Will Have
Experience as a human resources generalist with demonstrated skill in supporting performance optimisation, organisational growth, change and positive culture.
Varied experience in ER and IR issues.
Strong experience in coaching managers through P&C; processes and investigations.
Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems.
Understanding of performance metrics.
Good PC skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite.
Experience in community or disability/home care sector; desirable.
Demonstrated understanding of the disability services; desirable.
