About the Role:
NALHN is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse - Community Mental Health to join the Northern Mental Health team. This permanent position offers the opportunity to provide proficient, person-centred nursing care within a multidisciplinary community setting.
As a Clinical Nurse, you will deliver direct care, support mental health interventions, and contribute to care planning and evaluation. You'll also support less experienced staff, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and may be assigned relevant portfolio responsibilities aligned with your development goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, client-focused mental health nursing services in the community
* Collaborate with health professionals and external agencies to ensure continuity of care
* Provide leadership and clinical supervision to junior staff and students
* Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice

About You:

Essential Criteria:
* Registered Nurse with current registration (AHPRA)
* Enrolled in or holds a qualification in Mental Health Nursing (Post grad or Masters)
* Minimum 3 years' post-registration experience
* Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills
* Understanding of mental health legislation and standards
Desirable:
* Experience in quality improvement and research
* Tertiary qualifications in nursing or a related field
* Familiarity with the South Australian Public Health System
