We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Aboriginal Child Protection Caseworker to join our team. This role will involve working sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people to ensure their safety and well-being.
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families. As an Aboriginal Child Protection Caseworker, you will be responsible for:
* Developing safety plans and completing risk assessments;
* Managing cases and situations, including working with high needs and high-risk clients and their families;
* Participating in court processes, including the preparation of court documents and attending court;
You will work collaboratively with other agencies and engage in complex problem-solving to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A relevant diploma or degree qualification (or equivalent experience);
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* A valid driver's licence;
* A paid working with children clearance number;
* Documented verification of Aboriginality.
