About Us

Nurturing Life Connections is a specialist therapy service for children aged 0–12 across Far North Queensland. We deliver play-based therapy, nature therapy and more.

We prioritise person-centred, outcomes-focused care and support clients funded through the NDIS (self-managed, plan-managed, NDIA-managed), Medicare, and private clients.

As our service grows, we're seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Social Worker who shares our passion for holistic child and family support.

Your Role

- Provide individual therapy to children and families in home and community settings.
- Support clients funded through NDIS, Medicare, or privately — including planning, delivery, and goal tracking.
- Conduct assessments, case planning, documentation, progress reports, and liaise with key stakeholders.
- Work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team and contribute to innovative therapeutic practice.
- Travel within FNQ to service regional clients (travel reimbursement provided).

Key Requirements

- Bachelor's or higher qualification via AHPRA (OT) or AASW (Social Work).
- Experience or strong interest in working with children with developmental or mental health needs.
- Ability to work flexibly across home, school, community, and clinic environments.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to client outcomes, family engagement, and continuous improvement.

What We Offer

- 40-week working year, plus 4 weeks annual leave (pro-rata).
- Competitive salary + superannuation.
- Flexible hours and hybrid/remote options.
- Professional development, supervision, and career progression pathways.
- A mission-driven team culture that values well-being, balance, and innovation.
- Supportive systems and resources to help you thrive.

How to Apply

Please submit your CV and a cover letter via Seek outlining:

- Why this role excites you.
- Whether you are applying as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Social Worker.
- Your relevant experience supporting children and families, or within the NDIS/Medicare/private therapy space.
