Contour is seeking driven individuals to join our fast-growing, results-driven team as a Casual Mock Exam Invigilator for our peak testing period in July 2026. In this role, you will play a key part in executing seamless testing centre operations ensuring students experience realistic test conditions that optimize their performance.
What You Will Do
Manage the end-to-end execution of mock exams to provide a flawless, realistic, and highly supportive testing experience for students and parents.
- Exam preparation and logistics: Organise national-standard exams, manage centre set-up/pack-down, troubleshoot software issues, and execute accurate student registration (attendance, verification, and absentee follow-up).
- Mock exam administration: Invigilate with high professionalism under strict test conditions, deliver clear briefings, monitor student conduct, maintain tight schedules, and securely collect all testing materials.
- Student and parent engagement: Manage all test-day interactions politely, answer inquiries professionally, support student wellbeing, and conduct empathetic, enthusiastic post-exam discussions.
- Training and continuous improvement: Complete mandatory paid training and practical shadowing sessions prior to independent shifts, and collaborate with your Team Leader to elevate operations.
Shift Availability and Training
Successful applicants will commence from 1st July and will need to attend training/shadowing from 20th June onwards, with attendance over the 27th‐28th June weekend required.
Applicants should be available for some of the shifts listed below and indicate their availability as part of the application process. Preference will be given to candidates with greater availability across the July Live Mock period. Location is Level 10/66 Clarence St, Sydney, NSW 2000.
- Mon 6/7: 6:45AM - 8:45PM
- Tues 7/7: 6:45AM - 12:15PM
- Wed 8/7: 8:45AM - 4:45PM
- Fri 10/7: 6:45AM - 4:45PM
- Mon 13/7: 6:45AM - 4:45PM
- Tues 14/7: 8:45AM - 4:45PM
- Wed 15/7: 8:45AM - 4:45PM
What You Will Bring
- Contour alumnus: Must be a past Contour UCAT ANZ student who has personally attended at least 2 Live Mock sessions.
- Availability: Strong commitment to fulfil the casual shift and training schedule detailed above.
- Systems experience with the ability to quickly learn and troubleshoot digital exam software.
- Process and governance experience with a commitment to strict protocol compliance, professional ethics, and operational accountability.
- Completed Year 12 in Australia and/or a track record of strong academic results.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills to effectively command a room and deliver instructions.
- Strong real-time problem-solving skills to manage unexpected disruptions or technical glitches.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized approach to logistics and time management.
- A calm, confident, and composed demeanor when handling high-pressure or stressful situations.
- An empathetic, supportive, and energetic attitude that encourages student confidence.
